Institutions, businesses, or families? And what should sustainability education even look like? 🤔
💡 The core of sustainable education lies in understanding the symbolism behind climate change and sustainability. Our society devalues what is coded as feminine—nature, care, and behavioral change—while prioritizing what is coded as masculine—technology, business, and large-scale institutional solutions.
🏠 Change at the household and community level is often seen as part of the feminine sphere, while institutional, business, and technical solutions—though depersonalized and generalized—are considered more valuable, despite frequently missing the root cause.
🚨 Guess which one our society promotes? And how well is that working out for us?
✨ It’s time to rethink sustainability and challenge these hidden biases. Let's shift the narrative together.
